Action Athletic Wear is kind of a Vancouver institution!

A family-owned screen-printing, embroidery, and promotional product business with a $2M revenue stream, AAW has been operating in this city for more than 40 years.

It proudly manufactured merchandise for Expo ’86, Molson, and the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, among other major Canadian – and international – events and brands.

AAW’s experienced team has a strong commitment to delivering first-class products in line with their clients’ design preferences.

But they were having trouble converting the company’s reputation for excellent customer service and high quality products into sustained growth.

Until we came along, that is …

The Results

After we implemented The Coding Bull’s processes – integrating AAW’s entire marketing strategy, making in-depth changes to its website, ads, overarching design direction, and sales model – the results were stellar.

Here are some of the core numbers:

Between March and April, 2017 – 12 months before we came on the scene – Action Athletic Wear’s website attracted 705 users, generating 887 unique sessions and around 2200 page views.

Shortly after the company brought us in to relaunch its online identity and revamp its marketing strategy, the website’s performance dramatically improved.

Between March and April of this year, it brought in more than 1000 users over the course of nearly 1300 unique sessions and nearly 3000 page views, which represents a massive 800 page view increase.



Overall, this amounted to a huge improvement in AAW’s search engine presence, which rocketed from 0.36 percent to 4.00 percent – a 1100 percent improvement, in other words.


That heightened traffic translated tons of additional leads in just four weeks. AAW’s business volume is around $35,000, so that amounts to around a $420,000 increase in business, once the first year of predictable ROI is complete. We now believe we can growth company’s revenue by 120 percent this year.


Over time, that revenue flow is slated to improve further, enabling AAW owner Todd Deacon to plan the next step in his business’ thriving expansion, including by introducing a software we have developed that will streamline his sales team, allowing them to stay focused so they can close bigger deals and improve customer retention rate.

Indeed, AAW is already becoming a market leader in BC: the graph below shows how AAW overtook the organic search market share of one of its top competitors almost immediately after we were hired.
